The guys table, at the Lighthouse Christmas dinner
Great food and lots of it! Nick and his mom, Tanya Jacob and Chris

Sebastian

The girls

Alexis...mmmm, candle wax

Nick P. played on the flute, with his sister Hannah on guitar for carol singing.

What does Amy see?

Jacob as a candy cane and Jeff as a candle!

The cast assembles outside before the skit. Nick the bell, David the tree, Jacob the candy cane, Jeff the candle, Jenny the mom and stage director, Dani the card, Paige the Angel, Chris the star,Sebastian the stocking, and Anthony the present.
All of the decorations in the play were rather stuck on themselves...and wanted to be the center of attention. So at the beginning they all argued with one another and said why they should be the focus at Christmas.

Jacob was so very funny as the candy cane! Dani stepped in and filled in as the card at the last minute (that is why she has the scrip in her face!). Most of the kids knew their lines...but the scripts helped them to keep their place...they really did well.

When Anthony ran up on stage everyone laughed ...just to see a big walking present! We tried to find a skit that had a good message and was fun. This came across, as there was a lot of laughter...both at the actors in costume and at the lines.
Tanya and Jenny made all the felt costumes with lots of cutting and gluing.

Sebastian our deflated stocking, and David the stuck up tree, who kept singing..."O Christmas tree"...

Finally everyone meets the "new kid", Candle. He helps them all to see that they all have important jobs representing Jesus! Really, it was a great metaphor for life in the body of Christ!
How does your life point to Christ? Do you know what special gifts he has given you to use?

The present is told he represents the greatest gift...Jesus.

The angel in the spotlight...lamenting that she was so worried about her missing halo...that she wasn't concerned about the missing candy cane. She realized that people should be able to "see" that she is an angel even without her halo!
Can people see that you are a Christian?

The candy cane tip toeing up behind the Angel...

...with her missing halo!

The decorations all freeze as they hear the family come in...now they really are great decorations!

The end.
The cast takes a final bow
